"ACCESSIBLE LEADERSHIP"

Accessible Leadership is the idea that everyone has the inherent ability to be a leader and simply need to tap into the necessary skills within us in order to realize this potential. Heavily influenced by the concepts developed by Carl Rogers, the great humanistic psychologist, Accessible Leadership believes in the power and influence of individuals and the relationships they form with others. Practitioners of the Accessible Leadership model exhibit the three "C's" in their relationships - they care, connect and change.

THE 3 "C's"
Being Present

CONNECT

Developing Real and Meaningful Relationships/Be yourself
              Being Approachable/Inviting
Having an Open and Accepting Demeanor
Breaking down boundaries/Promoting Participation, Input and Equality
Demonstrating Mutual Respect and Bi-directional Influence

CARE

Demonstrating Genuineness, Empathy, and Unconditional Positive Regard
              Being Real and Authentic/No Facades
Being Concerned about and Interested in Others/Active Listening
              Being Attentive and Reliable

CHANGE

Being and Agent of Change and Influence through support and encouragement
Influencing Change in Others and Change in Ourselves
Promoting and Providing Opportunities for Growth and Self-Understanding
              Empowering Others and Ourselves
Impacting Others in a Positive way/Be a Positive Role Model
